Chronescher presents itself as a demanding isometric puzzle game set within a uniquely crafted escherpunk universe, composed of six distinct biomes. Players are challenged to master intricate time, space, and cognitive mechanics to navigate through each level. As one advances, layers of narrative unfold, revealing the identity of the character and the circumstances surrounding them.

The game emphasizes the mastery of time and space mechanics. Players will learn to strategically place portals and can revisit these locations at will. The introduction of time anchors enables one to take snapshots of the current state of the level, allowing for restoration at a later point without physical movement. By shifting perspectives, players can expose new pathways and uncover hidden passages. The most complex puzzles require the seamless integration of these abilities, guiding players to reach areas that initially appear nearly unreachable.
